The cabin is located on a hillside, overlooking beautiful pastureland and mountains reaching to the sky. The entire area is designated as Chattahoochee National Forest, so you know you are immersed in the forest along with the wide variety of animals that inhabit the area. These animals include: deer, coyotes, wild turkeys, oppossums, river otters, beavers, rabbits, owls, hawks, falcons, bald eagles, foxes, bobcats, black bear, grouse, and a large variety of song birds. You never know what you will spot from the deck, but with the expansive views your odds are quite good.
The cabin sleeps 4-6 comfortably and can hold up to 7 individuals (perhaps 8 if there are children). Compare this to the cost of several hotel rooms and you will see that renting a cabin can be a very smart financial decision when planning your trip to the mountains. Recent renovations include tongue and groove wood interior on all three floors, as well as new kitchen appliances.

Clouds hug the mountain tops after a long rain.
Is there a better spot to enjoy a glass of wine?
The cabin sits on a hillside overlooking the beautiful valley.
Enjoy a spectacular view from the front porch. No matter what time of the year, you will have an unobstructed view of the tallest mountains in the state of Georgia.
You can even see the Brasstown Bald observatory.
Main Floor
The main floor of the cabin contains a dining room, living room, kitchen, full bathroom, and access to the back driveway as well as front porch. Due to the large sliding glass doors (complete with a screen, so you can feel the glorious breezes without the bugs) you can enjoy the mountain views from every room on this floor.
The kitchen, main room, and dining room all connect and allow for unobstructed views through the large sliding glass doors. The cabin is cozy, but at 1300 sq feet still spacious enough for a large family.
The kitchen contains everything you will need to prepare your own meals.
The view on the main floor is spectacular no matter where you are. This is looking out from the kitchen.
Top Floor
The top floor of the cabin contains 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. The master bedroom has windows from the floor to the ceiling, allowing majectic views of the mountains from the comfort of your bedroom. The windows will open and have screens, so you can once again let the breezes blowing off the mountains lull you to sleep. A queen size log bed, dresser, and gas heating completes the master suite.
The master bedroom has vaulted ceilings and 4 large screened windows, allowing for glorious breezes all night long without worry of bugs or other uninvited critters.
You can't beat this view when you wake up in the morning.
The second bedroom on this floor is smaller, and due to its size and proximity to the master bedroom would be perfect for kids. It has a lockable door that leads out to a back porch overlooking the back of the property. There are no outside stairs accessing this porch, so it is safe and allows additional fresh air to envelop the entire top floor.
Perfect for kids, but not bad for an adult.
Bottom Floor
The bottom floor contains the 3rd bedroom, which has a full size bed that should easily accommodate 2 adults or children. It also has its own front porch, once again giving eye-popping views of the pasturelands and mountains. This floor has an electric heater with thermostat for cooler nights, or just open the porch door and keep the screen in place to let Mother Nature provide fresh air conditioning.
Lots of privacy and your own porch..
The view from the downstairs bedroom is excellent.
Outside the Cabin
The cabin is situated on one acre, however with the fields in front of you it feels like one hundred. Walk down the stairs to the front of the property and sit on the log swingset, roast marshmellows around the fire pit, or take one of the most picturesque walks you can imagine down the country road out front. This is not a through road, so there is little traffic that will distract you from the natural surroundings. A short walk will take you past aged barns, babbling mountain streams, and, of course, splendid views of Track Rock Valley and the Choestoe area. This road would also be perfect for bicycles or a quick jog.
The hammock is a perfect place for a nap or to read a book. Situated under several dogwood trees, you catch glimpses of the surrounding mountains while being enveloped in a dense canopy of trees.
Watch the sunset from the rustic swing at the front of the property, allowing for massive views and a "big sky" without intrusion of limbs or other foliage.
The firepit is a great way to enjoy the evening. Roast hot dogs and marshmallows, listen to the sounds of nature, view the spectacular array of stars, then retire to the comfort of a bed and modern conveniences. A small swingset for children can be seen behind the firepit.
Pulling into the driveway, you will be greeted with the wonderful smells of the Appalachian forest. The fauna around the cabin is rich due to the fact that the cabin is on the north slope of the hillside. There are literally hundreds of different trees, bushes, wildflowers, and plants that reside on our property.
The forest comes alive in the spring!
There is a small gravel road behind the cabin that has no vehicle traffic, perfect for an evening stroll.
Walking along the country road while rain clouds move in.
Less than 100 yards from the property, a babbling brook provides water for the wildlife in the area.
